Worst Alcoholic Beverages for Weight Loss | Fast Slim Body

It is not easy to lose weight so knowing what the worst alcoholic beverages for weight loss are is important for effective weight loss. Many people refer to their stomach as a beer belly for a reason! They know they are drinking a beverage that tends to promote weight gain instead of weight loss.

When you drink alcohol it stimulates your appetite so you are more likely to eat foods that are fattening, as well as more in volume. As a matter of fact, this is one of the reasons why people gain weight when they drink. They eat more fattening foods in larger proportions.

Top Alcoholic Beverages and the Calories

Knowing how much calories you are consuming when you drink an alcoholic beverage can help you choose the better beverage as well as control your portions. Keep in mind that even a lite beer has plenty of calories. Sometimes people will drink more lite beers because they feel the lite beers don?t affect their diets like other alcoholic beverages. This means they will end up consuming more calories because they feel lite beer is safe for a diet.

Here are some alcoholic beverages and the calories in them.
* Beer has 150 calories in a 12 Oz serving. There are also 13 grams of carbohydrates which can also lead to gaining weight.
* Lite beer has 100 calories and 5 grams of carbohydrates in every 12 Oz serving. Many people think lite means they can drink more and will consume more than one serving. This is a mistake if you want to lose weight.
* Distilled spirits such as whisky, brandy, rum, and gin contain about 100 calories in a 1.5 Oz serving. This doesn?t include the mixes that are used to make a drink. Some mixers are very high in calories which can make a mixed drink extremely fattening. There are only trace amounts of carbohydrates in distilled spirits.
* Wine has typically about 80 to 100 calories per 4 Oz serving (half a glass). This is for both red and white wines. One glass of wine on occasion isn?t that bad but many people will drink more than 4 oz.

Worst Alcoholic Beverage

Mixed drinks are probably the worst alcoholic beverage for weight loss. This is because the calories are higher in mixed drinks. To give you an idea, a frozen margarita can have over 200 calories a drink, and a glass of pina colada can have over 500 calories.

Beers are probably the 2nd worst alcoholic beverage due to the fact that people typically end up drinking 2-3 bottles of beer.

?

It is up to you to drink less of the worst alcoholic beverages for weight loss. When you drink responsibly you can still lose weight. You will want to be careful of what you eat while you are drinking as this is where many of the calories come from. Also, keep in mind that your body becomes dehydrated when you indulge in alcoholic drinks. This may add to the feeling of hunger, so be sure to keep yourself hydrated when drinking anything alcoholic.

(AP) ? The attorney for a 15-year-old Maryland boy accused of shooting a classmate on the first day of school says his client did not intend to shoot anyone.

Attorney George Psoras (puh-SOHR-us) said Tuesday he believes the shotgun Robert Wayne Gladden Jr. was carrying fired accidentally when he was rushed by teachers.

The attorney thinks Gladden brought the gun to Perry Hall High School to intimidate bullies and that Gladden did not aim the weapon at anyone.

Gladden has been charged as an adult with attempted murder and first-degree assault in Monday's shooting, which critically wounded a 17-year-old classmate. He's being held without bail.

Police said earlier Tuesday that Gladden told investigators bullying was not the motive for the shooting. But the attorney says his client was bullied.

August may be the laziest month for Hollywood blockbusters, but it has become open season?for little-films-that-can. And this year is no exception, with the political documentary ?2016: Obama?s America,? pulling in more than $9 million to become the top grossing non-nature documentary of the year.

The film, from conservative author Dinesh D?Souza, which began playing in theaters nationwide this past weekend and has gone viral online, is a slow ? and selective ? trip through Obama?s backstory. It?leads viewers to the narrator?s conclusion that the president?s goals are to realize his Kenyan father?s anti-imperialist dreams.

The documentary is currently screening in Tampa hotels hosting guests at the Republican National Convention, where its themes have been warmly embraced.

But the real question is, at this late date, will such a film make a difference in an election that by most accounts will be determined by a razor-thin margin of voters who have yet to make up their minds?

The film most likely will not sway many independent voters directly, says David Mark, editor in chief of Politix, an online and mobile site for citizen?s input, and author of ?Going Dirty: the Art of Negative Campaigning.? But, says Mr. Mark, a former senior editor of POLITICO, where the film might have an impact is in the nitty-gritty of an election.

?It could energize the base into all the kinds of things that can turn out voters, like walking the precinct, manning phone banks, and all the kinds of volunteer stuff that juices up supporters,? he points out.

Soon-to-be Republican nominee Mitt Romney will be the most likely to benefit, adds Mark, who says the film has been a hot topic on conservative talk radio, where hosts have been urging supporters to go see the film. ?Everyone likes to say they don?t want negative campaigning and movies like this, but the truth is that the reason we continue to have it is because it works,? he says, adding, ?negativity gets people to participate.?

The surprise success of the film suggests it is part of a ?new normal? in US politics, says John Johannes, a professor of political science at Villanova University in Philadelphia.

Filmmaker Michael Moore ?probably should be credited (or blamed) with advancing this type of political advertising, an effort to add a veneer of respectability and authority to coat anti-candidate politics,? Professor Johannes says via e-mail. This type of politicking is more likely to appeal to those already committed for or against Obama, he notes, adding that he would be surprised if this movie changed any minds.

?It is, however, yet another indicator of what is happening to American politics,? he says: ?Trying to pin down candidates for their backgrounds more than their policies; a focus on personalities more than issues; and a play to anger and fear rather than to thoughtfulness and judgment.?

But some say this film suggests otherwise ? that this election may actually hinge on more than negativity, says journalist John Graves, editor of The Retirement Journal and author of ?The 7% Solution.?

Mr. Graves says he and his wife went to the film over the weekend.

?The film itself was instructive for its view from outside the inner workings of the US politic,? he says via e-mail, adding that it was valuable to witness what he dubs ?the raw exploitation of power by a man who knows himself and his destiny very well.? Beyond that, he says, ?if the issues as described in the film are also descriptive of the ?whole piece? landscape, it will be a metaphysical election (one guided by principles).?

The film?s power may also be a harbinger of things to come, points out April Masini, online advice expert at askapril.com.

She says a large part of the audience will be already-decided Republican voters, those ?who want verification that they're doing the right thing, and something to talk about among themselves.? But the valuable audience, she points out, will be those undecided voters who can make or break a popular vote in a close race.

But she adds, ?The anti-Obama documentary will also be a measure of how important films and documentaries are to swinging a vote in the age of fast technology like Twitter, e-mail and tabloid news. If this documentary is perceived as being effective, buckle up for more politicians in Hollywood.??

Romance at the RNC: Man proposes to girlfriend onstage

It looks as if Ann Romney's message from Tuesday night - that this is about love - struck a chord. Bradley Thompson, 32, proposed to his girlfriend of three years, Laura Bowman, on the stage of the Tampa Bay Times forum on Wednesday.

Neither Thompson nor Bowman are here as delegates - in fact, it's not even clear if they're Republicans; the couple declined to tell reporters when asked which party they support. Bowman is a production coordinator and Thompson is a production manager for the convention. The couple met three years ago on a production job and they live in New York City.

Get more pure politics at ABCNews.com/Politics and a lighter take on the news at OTUSNews.com

Bowman said she thought something fishy was going on when she was called for a sound check. Although they knew they would be engaged eventually - the couple told reporters that they had actually picked the ring together - Bowman said she didn't think it would happen today.

It may not be a flash mob, but proposing on the same stage where a presidential candidate will officially accept his party's nomination is a pretty good proposal story.

There's no word yet on the wedding plans for the couple.

Golden Hawk Athletics & Recreation - Men's baseball wraps up ...

Men's baseball wraps up training camp

WATERLOO, Ont. (August 27, 2012) - The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men's baseball team wrapped up its five day training camp with an intersquad game on Sunday afternoon at Jack Couch Park in Kitchener. The game was a highly competitive and spirited affair as the coaching staff used it as a final evaluation before selecting the team that will compete for an OUA Championship.

Team Purple edged out Team Gold by an 8-7 score as players on both teams worked hard to earn a spot on the team. Team Purple was lead by 1B Andrew Czuchnicki and RF Alex Kupchak who each had a hit and 2 RBI. 1B Ian Filion, C Riley Robinson, C Ryan Belz and 2B Jeff Slasor also had hits. Veteran pitchers Brett van Pelt, Adam McBride and Greg Greenberg each worked a scoreless inning a piece for the winners. ?

Team Gold was led by 2011 OUA Rookie of the Year, CF Jon Brouse as Brouse was 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI, picking up right where he left off last season. Freshmen RF Philip Warner and 3B Brandon Washkevich each picked up two hits with C Adam Chong, LF McKenzie Maxwell and transfer SS Colin McKeen added a hit each. Veteran pitchers Justin Newbold, Andrew Ziedins, McKenzie Maxwell and Ian Filion all worked scoreless innings and freshman Zachary Danilewitz also looked strong with a scoreless inning of work.

This game wrapped up the fifth and final day of an extremely competitive training camp and the coaching staff selected the final 30 man roster, with five red shirts, that will make up the 2012 edition of the Golden Hawks.

"The coaching staff was thrilled at how competitive this training camp was," commented Head Coach Scott Ballantyne. "We had to release some very good ball players and that is never easy, but I am looking forward to this season and moving forward with the group of student-athletes that we have. We feel we have the pitching depth that is necessary to compete for a championship and if we can play good defence and continue to work on the fundamental aspects of the game, I think we'll score enough runs to be right in the mix with the top teams in the OUA."

The Golden Hawks will begin an exhibition schedule on Tuesday that will see them travel to St. Mary's to play two games against the Ontario Terriers U18 team and the University of Windsor Lancers at the beautiful ball park on the grounds of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. The week will culminate with the Golden Hawks travelling to St. Catharines on Labour Day weekend to defend their Championship at the Brock Invitational tournament.

Preventing Surgical Infections Using Teamwork and ?Local Wisdom ...

From 15 to 30% of people who have colorectal surgery will get an surgical-site infection?and those surgical infections (just among colorectal patients) cost an estimated $1 billion a year. The surgical infections cause longer hospital stays; are the most common cause of hospital readmission within 30 days; and require more doctor visits, wound-care supplies, and home care. Not to mention the added difficulties for patients and their families.

A two-year study at Johns Hopkins Hospital, just published in the August 2012 Journal of the American College of Surgeons, describes how a team of front-line providers used their ?local wisdom? plus an evidence-based safety system to cut their infection rate in colorectal surgery patients by 33.3 percent in one year.

Reducing surgical infections improves patient care and saves dollars?a national priority shared by Medicare and other insurers, medical staff, and patients alike. A national Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) using standardized checklists and measures was launched six years ago, but four recent studies show little connection between compliance and?overall patient outcomes.

Leaders at Johns Hopkins Hospital decided to add an element seen in other successful quality-improvement programs?intentionally bridging the typical divide between front-line staff and the experts who bring in a standardized improvement system.

They formed a team of surgery, anesthesia, nursing, and infection control leaders, plus a team coach (to facilitate meetings and manage improvement projects), and a hospital executive who could help front-line staff overcome institutional barriers. The leadership team also invited other interested front-line nurses, nurse anesthetists, scrub technicians, and anesthesiologists to join what became a 36-member team. They launched a CUSP (Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program) that used the national SCIP checklist, but also added their own interventions to the checklist:

  • Only surgical nurses, rather than a variety of staff, did the pre-op skin preparation on each patient ;
  • All patients were given antibiotic-treated wash cloths to use the evening before surgery;
  • After studying literature, the team added oral antibiotics to routine pre-surgical mechanical bowel preparation;
  • Because a separate hospital study showed that many patients were hypothermic both before and after surgery, they began warming patients in the pre-anesthesia area;
  • When scrub technicians pointed out that instruments used for intestinal suturing were also frequently used for skin closure, the team designed a system to replace all instruments and change the entire teams? surgical gloves after completing the bowel work and again before beginning wound closure; and
  • The team found and fixed lapses in giving antibiotics after surgery.

This last action showed why ?local wisdom? might improve standardized checklists.

Previous compliance was 99 percent with the national SCIP measure of ?appropriate antibiotic selection.? But frank talk on the team revealed that staff didn?t think all patients were actually getting the correct medications. In fact, before the team was formed, only 33% of penicillin-allergic patients were getting recommended doses of the gentamicin/clindamycin recommended by the infection control staff. (Patients were either under-dosed or not receiving gentamicin because of concerns about side-effects.) After team intervention, 92% of patients received the correct antibiotics.

Based on average costs of $6,000 to $10,000 per surgical-site infection, the study authors estimated that by decreasing their infection rate by 33%, their hospital saved from $168,000 to $280,000 in one year alone? just among?its 278 colorectal surgery patients.

The authors described study limitations?it was not randomized; it was only at one hospital; and all improvement measures were introduced simultaneously and not analyzed separately for effectiveness. They called for further, multi-institutional studies.

But their overall conclusion: ?Formation of small groups of front-line providers to address patient harm using local wisdom and existing evidence can improve patient safety. ?

Home fixtures that can contribute to the security of the property can be great additions to the property.

Window Shutters are not only considered as decorative window fixtures but can also be used to provide additional security. In a commercial property or a store where there are wide windows used to show customers the products that are being offered, window shutters made from sturdy materials can help cover the window completely especially when hours of operation are done for the day. It will prevent unscrupulous individuals from gaining access to the store through the window.

With the right style and color, window shutters can also become part of the d?cor of the property. They can match the theme that is being created. They can also provide the layer of privacy that property owners need. They can also be used to provide just the right amount of sunlight or shade that is needed. Installation will not be a problem as well because installation services can be provided by window shutter retailers. Customers just have to know what they need in window shutters so that they can have the proper ones installed on their window.

Model and mom Camila Alves picked up some take out pizza after visiting the salon and I can nearly smell the yum from here.

With two kids at home ? 4-year old Levi and 2-year old Vida and her husband?Matthew McConaughey it looks like she picked up enough for the whole family. Perhaps it?s a pregnancy craving that?s driving her to pick up pizza (I couldn?t get enough of it when I was pregnant), but one thing is for sure ? this mama-to-be looks amazing!

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ? A 1974 Purdue University graduate has donated $750,000 to his alma mater to be used for a named professorship in the school of engineering education.

The university says the gift by a foundation created by Geoffrey Crowley will be matched through Purdue's Faculty Fund for Excellence, bringing the total for the professorship to $1.5 million.

Department head David Radcliffe says the new professorship will allow Purdue to attract an eminent scholar.

Crowley, who lives in Appleton, Wis., is president of Northshore Leasing. He was named one of Purdue's distinguished engineering alumni in 2010. Crowley says the need for high-quality educators grows every year.

Crowley last year donated $1.5 million to Purdue to support strategic initiatives for the College of Engineering.

Scripps Research Institute

LA JOLLA, CA, August 23, 2012 A team led by a scientist at The Scripps Research Institute has received a $22.5 million, five-year project renewal from the National Institutes of Health to uncover the workings of the immune system. This program has received ongoing support from NIH since 2002.

The grant is focused on innovative technologies that will ultimately provide data for improving a wide range of human diseases that include viral and bacterial infections and inherited immune disorders.

"I'm delighted the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has decided to continue supporting this important research," said the grant's principal investigator Richard Ulevitch, who is a professor and chairman emeritus at Scripps Research. "Since the initiative began 10 years ago, the consortium has made seminal contributions to the field. Now, thanks to the new funding, there are more discoveries to come."

The project takes an unusual wide-angle "genetic and systems biology" approach to learning how we stay healthy in the face of numerous microbes in our environment. In contrast to traditional hypothesis-driven research, in which a single gene or protein is selected for study based on its proposed function, team members assemble information about multiple genes, proteins, and biochemical pathways without preconceived ideas about function. This data is then integrated and examined from multiple perspectives to understand the immune response as a whole.

In addition to Ulevitch and his group at Scripps Research, the consortium includes the laboratories of Alan Aderem of the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, Bruce Beutler of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Christopher Goodnow of the Australian National University, and Garry Nolan of Stanford University.

Ulevitch notes that the group is now especially interested in the intersection between innate and adaptive immunity. Innate immunity, our body's first line of defense, can destroy foreign invaders and trigger inflammation that contributes to their demise. If microorganisms make it past this gauntlet, the body calls on adaptive immunity. Here, T cells, B cells, antibodies, and killer cells come into play; the adaptive immune system also stores "memories" of the offending microorganisms to be on the alert for future attacks.

The team is using a genetic approach in mice, known as "forward genetics," to develop a detailed model of innate and adaptive immune responses to infection. "It is now crystal clear that data from mouse genetics provides insights into human disease," Ulevitch said. "When we started there were a lot more unknowns, but now there is a long list of genes identified in the mouse that cause both specific mouse phenotypes and are similarly linked to human disease."

###

The group provides resources to the scientific community at large, including a Web-based data portal to access the team's findings (see www.systemsimmunology.org).

The NIH project number for the grant is U19 AI100627.

The Two Biggest Challenges Of Teaching

Teaching is a very noble profession. And, even though there isn't much money in it, you've still got plenty of honorable people going into it. But, teaching might also be one of the most challenging jobs in the world. Here is how to deal with two of the biggest issues when teaching.

Students that just don't care

You'll have students who you just can't seem to inspire. Even sending them to the principal's office or putting them on timeout won't get a spark out of them. They don't respond to you. They don't do their homework. They sleep on their desk. They just can't seem to see a reason to listen to you. A great way to handle this is to do some research on who these kids look up to. Listen to their conversations at recess, or even just get a conversation going in class about what celebrities they like and why. If a certain name is often coming up, do some research on that celebrity and pick and choose the facts you like about them. Perhaps they went to an ivy league college, or were phenomenal at science, or loved homework. Share these facts with your kids! They need to know that learning is cool and that taking responsibility for their own future could help them be like their idol.

Self confidence

There is a fine line between scolding a child just enough to make them want to work harder, or to just make them want to give up. I myself teach singing lessons to children and children struggle with a lot of confidence issues when it comes to performing in front of others. I work with preteens too so, you've got all that voice changing going on and vocal vibrato (what you know as voice cracking!) and many just don't want to perform. I've had to learn ways to first calm my kids down, because if they have anxiety, they're not listening. I have my students practice breathing exercises for singing , and these can even be relaxing before any activity. Then, when my student is calm, I start to remind them of their accomplishments. Perhaps I'll remind them of how they couldn't sing high notes when they first came to me, and now they're one of the best in the class at that! Just show them that they are able to overcome challenges, because they already have. And this requires paying special attention to all of your students.

Global Implementation Issues: Cultural Differences or Bad Change ...

During the SAP Radio show, we talked about why strategic initiatives fail when being implemented, especially globally. Do cultural differences cause failure, or is it bad change management?

Dr. Steven Hunt discussed implementation failure: ?Culture is a convenient scapegoat for explaining why something didn?t work.? When you look at changing any process in a company ? regardless of location ? leadership has to ensure that it has effective change management practices in place. If you have great change management, which takes into account local regulations or restrictions, then you are more likely to see adoption instead of resistance.

China Gorman links this back to understanding your customer, even your internal ones. ?Developing a global market ? or at least a market outside the U.S. ? requires understanding and experience on the ground. The challenge is how to get it.? Ask yourself, ?What does the customer want and what message will most effectively convey that you meet that want?? Changing a process requires you to think in the same manner as the customer.

At the end of the day, everyone wants to know what?s in it for them. Culture may impact how you convey the message, but if you take barriers into account, your change management practices should compensate for any differences in culture that would impact an implementation.

What do you think? Are culture and change management exclusive issues that don?t impact the launch of an initiative? Or can they serve each other? What else complicates the issue?

This post is part of the series from the SAP Radio show ??HR Globalization, Ready or Not??

Blog Archive ? Seeking Good Tips About Credit Cards? Look Below ...

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

These days it is important that consumers get all of the advice that they can get to advise them against overspending. Credit cards can either be an excellent tool for building your financial life or a huge liability that can wreak havoc on your finances. Read the following tips to learn how to manage credit responsibly and what to avoid.

If you want to avoid losing a credit card, you will have to use it on a regular basis. If you don?t use your account, that makes the company no profit, so they may just shut down the account and barely warn you about it. Try using your credit cards to pay for things you have the money for, and then pay off the credit cards immediately afterwards.

TIP! If your credit card charges you a late fee, try calling and asking to have the fee dropped. In response to being a good customer, your fee may be waived.

Always try to pay off your balance in full. Unless your card is currently offering you % interest, carrying a balance from month to month will incur interest and finance charges. If you pay only the minimum amount due, it will take you a longer to pay off the amount owed because of finance charges.

Set a firm budget for your finances. It can be tempting to start spending as soon as you get a new credit card. Fight the temptation. Make sure you have a budget put into place prior to making use of the card. Stick to it and you can avoid any future problems.

Keep a regular eye on your credit reports so you will be aware of how well you handle your accounts. This is great for knowing how well you and your financial institutions are handling your credit. Try to note any cases of reporting errors. If there is one, contact both the credit card company as well as disputing the error with the credit bureau.

TIP! The first step to conquering credit card debt is a strong dedication to paying off the larger accounts. Financial well-being starts with a healthy credit score, and a credit card is a big part of this.

If you opt to close a credit card account, always make sure to destroy the card. If you decide to throw it into a drawer or give it to your child to play with, it could end up in someone?s hands, and they could use the information to reopen the account and charge up debt in your name.

Never use a credit card to withdraw money from an ATM or for casino chips. Credit card companies normally charge high fees for gambling transactions, as well as cash advances. Because of this, you should ensure you are only using your cards for these things during emergencies.

TIP! Save money by asking credit card companies to offer you a lower interest rate on your charges. As long as you have a good credit history, you should be able to get yourself a much better rate.

Don?t believe that interest rates they offer you are concrete and are staying that way. Credit card issuers have several interest rates they can use at their discretion. If you do not like your current rate, get in contact with your bank and request for a change.

If your mailbox is not secure, do not request credit cards through the mail. Many credit card thieves say they got their cards from unsecured mailboxes.

Pay your credit card bill on time every month. Late payments often result in a significant penalty charge. This fee could be as high $25, even if you are only one day late making your payment. If you make more lots of late payments, the fee may rise every month.

TIP! When you travel, bring two cards along; that is especially true for foreign travel. This gives you financial options in every situation, especially if the cards are from different banks or are different types of cards.

Do not just set your credit card statement aside when you receive it. Go over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure all the charges listed are legitimate. Make sure you try and do this as often as possible. If you put it off, you are more likely to forget to check or forget the transactions in question. If you wait, you may also forfeit your chance to resolve any problems that arise.

In conclusion, consumers often fall victim to the negative effects of credit cards, such as high interest rates. This article has covered how to use your credit card responsible, so you now have the tools needed to be a responsible consumer

Only keep the credit cards on you that you intend to use. This way you can keep track of them and will notice if they should go missing. Theft is rampant in our society today, so remember to be aware of where you place your credit cards. If you think a credit card is missing, contact the credit card company immediately and ask that they cancel your card.

Casey Anthony nears end of probation in secret location

Casey Anthony, the young Florida mother who became a cable news sensation after the 2008 disappearance and death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, finishes her year of probation on check fraud charges on Friday, her lawyer told ABC News.

Anthony, 26, began serving the probation on August 24, 2011. Florida Department of Corrections spokeswoman Ann Howard would not confirm the exact time of Anthony's release from the probation program for security reasons, but said Anthony did not commit any violations that would have prolonged her term.

"She was never out of compliance," Howard told Reuters on Tuesday.

Anthony's civil lawyer, Charles Greene, who did not return a call from Reuters for comment, told ABC his client's probation would end at 12 a.m. on Friday.

Anthony was acquitted of her daughter's murder during a 2011 trial broadcast live on national television. Evidence showed Anthony, a single mother, lied to her parents and friends about Caylee's whereabouts for a month before claiming the toddler had been kidnapped.

Caylee's body was found five months later in woods near the Anthony family's Orlando-area home. At trial, Anthony's lawyers claimed Caylee accidentally drowned in the family's backyard pool.

Public outrage followed the verdict, and a celebrity poll at the time ranked Casey Anthony as the most hated American. As a result, a judge took the unusual step of allowing Anthony to serve her probation in the check fraud case at a secret location within the state.

The one-year probation was ordered after Anthony in 2010 admitted to making purchases using her friend's checks, a crime uncovered during the investigation into Caylee's death.

In the past year, Anthony has surfaced publicly twice via a leaked clip of her video diary and in a phone call to talk show host Piers Morgan.

She still faces lawsuits related to her daughter's death, including a defamation case filed by a woman who alleges Anthony ruined her reputation by claiming that a nanny with a similar name had kidnapped Caylee. At trial, Anthony's attorney acknowledged Anthony made up the kidnapping story.
