Jay-Z and Kanye West have an army of hits between them, but let's face it, when the Throne touch the stage in Paris on Friday and Saturday, there is going to be one song and one song only that really get the people going: "N---as in Paris."
"That may be the only song we do for the night," Jay-Z joked to MTV News with his usual Jay-Z giggle. "That's it, just a set list."
It may sound far-fetched, but considering that he and Yeezy dropped their ubiquitous hit multiple times during their North American tour, we wouldn't be surprised if the Throne breaks a performance record for "N---as in Paris." The duo rocked the song a whopping 11 times during their Vancouver, Canada, concert back in December.
The popularity of their catchy single isn't the most surprising thing to Hov though. Jigga seems more jazzed at the number of folks who were traveling from the U.S. to France to see him and 'Ye rock the mic. " 'Paris' in Paris is gonna be insane. Everyone is traveling over there. I don't know how we're gonna fit everyone in this building," the God MC told us back on May 14 when he was in Philadelphia to announce his Made in America music festival. "Every day another person comes up to me like, 'Yo, I'll see you in Paris,' and they're from here, they're from all over the States. So I don't know, I'm expecting a zoo in Paris."
Famous friends like Spike Lee have been tweeting about the pilgrimage. "I'm About To Take Off From JFK With A Planeload Of Black Folks To See Kanye/Jay-Z Do N---as In Paris In Paris, France," the "Do the Right Thing" director wrote on Thursday before takeoff.
